Rutherford Bench China Founded in September 2007, Rutherford Bench (China) Ltd. is the first and leading exclusive supplier of California wine in China. We currently carry more than 140 wines from over 60 different Napa Valley wineries – many of which are appearing in China for the first time. Most of the wineries we represent are family-owned small producers of high-quality wines. Our dedicated wine team – located in both Napa and Shanghai - has tasted through thousands of wines to offer you only premier wines of distinction. We import and distribute these wines ourselves with Napa Reserve as our flagship retail store. Napa Reserve Located near the center of Shanghai’s commercial and shopping districts, Napa Reserve is the showcase for our entire wine portfolio, including some very limited cult wines. The store itself is designed in the style of a classic Napa Valley wine cellar – with a stone facade, a beautiful, hand-crafted red-oak cellar and understated yet luxurious tasting room – that provides the visitor with a wine experience that is unique in China. Napa Reserve also offers an exclusive wine club that provides wine lovers with carefully chosen wine gems delivered to their home every month. Our goal at Napa Reserve is to promote fine wine culture to consumers in China through wine, wine education, special tasting events, and direct and intimate interactions with California vintners and winemakers. We also wish to show Chinese consumers what discerning wine lovers all over the world already know – that California, and specifically the Napa Valley, produces wines that are among the best in the world. We are often asked why we only carry California wines when there are so many other distinguished wine-producing regions in the world. Our answer: we only sell what we know and what we are most passionate about. As long-time residents of the Napa Valley and producers of our own wine, our family has developed meaningful relationships with many fellow vintners from the area. It is our duty to both them and ourselves to uphold the reputation of the Napa Valley.
